April’s theme is People aren’t ignoring you, lovebug paired with the Fountain breath which highlights the power of the breath to transform conventional thinking.
When we feel unloveable and believe we are deficient, co-dependent relating is one of the incomplete coping mechanisms readily promoted in our culture. Co-dependency can be defined as a behavioral pattern of needing to get something from someone rather than sharing an experience with them. In response to our wounding of abandonment, isolation and punishment many times we think there is no other option but to decide how to get the basic things we need to live from people such as food, shelter, and love.
Kicking co-dependency to the curb is the work of spiritual warriors. It is no joke. I have heard people say that attending a co-dependents anonymous meeting was so eye-opening it made them realize that beneath their addiction to alcohol was an addiction to co-dependency.
Co-dependency is so normalized in our world that I think it’s fair to say that many times conventional thinking and co-dependent thinking are one and the same. This month’s breath can help you begin to shift co-dependent thinking into self-loving sovereign thinking.
Pick one area or aspect of your life where you can identify conventional thinking that is not serving you and breathe through it with the Fountain breath. Notice what happens. I hope it points you back to the knowing that you are not broken. In truth, you are creative, resourceful, powerful, and whole; and the world needs you.
I hold the wisdom of this month’s message as “You are Whole.”
The wisdom found within the teachings of the Holy Womb Chakra and the healing available in the sessions I offer can also support you in transforming conventional thinking. Read more about the Holy Womb Chakra, HERE.
