During my unique upbringing, I moved with my family around the southern states before living abroad. From a young age, I developed a fascination with how people choose to do the same thing in different ways. In large part, how we choose to wash the dishes, raise our children, or heal and create well-being in our lives, is based in large part on our culture and its context.
I have always found joy being in nature and in natural landscapes. After earning my B.S. in marine science and biology from the University of Miami, a job opportunity brought me to the desert landscape of New Mexico, where I developed a deep love and appreciation for the mountains and some of the Native American traditions practiced by the Pueblo tribes in the area. It was here that my interest in alternative healing practices took root and was encouraged and supported by a diverse community. Sweat lodges, the power in circles of women, and consultations with psychics are all commonplace healing modalities in New Mexico.
In addition to developing a deep love and appreciation for the mountains there, I met and developed a deep love and appreciation for a man who is my life partner. Job opportunities brought us a stop-over in Texas with a more permanent landing in the Charleston, South Carolina area, a place we have lived, loved, and called home now for over 19 years.
The birth of our children brought profound happiness along with growth and change on many levels. Becoming a mom activated the natural healer in me. Over the course of my pregnancies and beyond, I became my own health advocate and an advocate for my children. My perception of healthcare slowly shifted from viewing doctors as “experts” on my and my family’s health to viewing them as “teammates”, “consultants”, and “helpers”. This paradigm shift helped me take more responsibility for my own health as well as to be a cheerleader for my family’s health and well-being. Through our health trials and tribulations I have lovingly and with intention crafted our healthcare team. It is ever-changing and evolving as our needs change and evolve. It includes a range of practitioners from both the Western medicine tradition and alternative healing modalities.
As I walk my healing journey back to my own loving heart, I am humbled to offer what I know in service to you so that you may do the same.

"If energy is the rule and not the exception in the universe, and therefore all material systems, including the human body, are energy systems, then is all healing ultimately energy healing, and are we all natural energy healers?"
